When it comes to generally the best program, or the one that I would personally use for most projects, I would recommend Planner 5D or Prodboard. I think cost is a huge thing when it comes to completing a project, and while it is easy for beginners or do it yourself to pick out colors and finishes, deciding what building materials and how much it will cost is a lot more difficult a task.
